Data and purposes
Optional profile and cycle details, bleeding, symptoms, mood, sleep, pulse, HRV, temperature, medication, sexual activity, self-read LH/pregnancy tests, photos, notes and pregnancy information support your personal records. Focus, checklists and question lists are also stored locally. Calculated estimates from your entries are not a medical assessment or diagnosis and confirm neither ovulation nor pregnancy. The app is for personal records and general information. It does not replace a medical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment or advice. Calculations are non-binding guidance based on your entries, not medical predictions. Zyklumi is not suitable for contraception. Seek medical advice if you have symptoms or concerns; do not delay necessary examinations because of an app display.
Legal bases and consent
Personal features rely on your voluntary consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a); health and sex-life data rely on your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a). You confirm consent before entering personal data. Its version and time are recorded locally. Profile → Withdraw consent pauses further use of personal features. Previous lawful processing remains unaffected. Knowledge is accessible without consent or a profile. Personal profiles are intended for ages 16 and over.
Storage and retention
Your records and saved test photos remain in private app files until you change or delete them. There is no app account, cloud sync, advertising or analytics profile. MRA Creates does not receive these files. On iOS, the app excludes its Documents folder from automatic device backups and uses iOS file protection when the device is locked; there is no additional app-specific encryption. Losing your device or uninstalling the app can permanently remove your records. You manage shared exports and older backups yourself. After consent withdrawal, existing files remain for export or deletion; personal views and Health imports pause.
Camera and test photos
The camera opens only at your request and after iOS permission. Alternatively, Zyklumi receives only the image you choose. A resized JPEG without copied EXIF/location metadata is prepared in cache and kept in private app files only when you save the entry. Photos are solely for your records. There is no automatic text, line or test recognition, image comparison or result suggestion. You select Positive, Negative or Unsure yourself following the manufacturer’s instructions. No external AI or image transmission. Original photos remain unchanged. Earlier records may still contain previously recognised text; it is not analysed again.
Apple Health and smartwatches
Health is separately optional. After read permission, Zyklumi reads period days from the last two years or sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV and basal/wrist temperature from the last 185 days in Apple Health. Watch data is available when its source shares it with Health. Imported values stay in memory, without a Zyklumi file, export or transmission to MRA Creates. Zyklumi writes no Health values. Disconnecting or withdrawing consent clears imported views; you can also change iOS permissions in Health. Manual entries remain stored separately.
Export, deletion and backups
In Profile you can export your data or delete it locally after confirmation. JSON exports contain photo metadata and any recognised text from earlier app versions, not image files or imported Health values. Appointment summaries contain your entries and questions, without photos or Health imports. You choose the recipient. Local deletion removes entries and saved test photos. Uninstalling removes the local app copy. Shared exports and device backups are not automatically deleted; manage them at their destination. MRA Creates cannot remotely delete local files.
Recipients, external links and contact
Personal app files are not transferred to external recipients or third countries. Articles and illustrations are local. Opening a source or website connects your browser to its provider, whose privacy policy applies. Emailing us sends your message and attachments to us. Contract enquiries rely on GDPR Article 6(1)(b); other enquiries on our legitimate interest in replying under (f). Send health details only if necessary for your request; their voluntary submission and use to handle it requires your explicit consent. Your privacy rights
Subject to legal conditions, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You can withdraw consent at any time for the future. For processing based on legitimate interests, you may object for reasons relating to your particular situation. Contact support@mracreates.de or mracreates@icloud.com. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including where you live, work or where an alleged infringement occurred. There are no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects under GDPR Article 22.
Purchases and changes
Paid purchases are not enabled in the current development version. Zyklumi processes no payment data or receipts. These notices will be updated for the actual store purchase process before subscriptions go live. We will inform you before significant new processing purposes and obtain any required new consent.
Period records and reminders
Period starts and ends are documented only from your input. The end means the last bleeding day. Missing days are not filled automatically. A check-in for an unclosed period uses your recorded start and stated period length, not a medical assessment. In-app check-ins need no notification permission. Optional local iPhone reminders are scheduled only after you enable them and grant iOS permission. Their text contains no health details. Switching them off, withdrawing consent or entering pregnancy mode removes scheduled reminders; there is no push server.
AI-generated illustrations
The baby and fruit/vegetable illustrations were created with generative AI. They are schematic illustrations, not medically validated representations, ultrasound images or images of your pregnancy. Size comparisons are approximate general guidance. Images are bundled with the app; displaying them sends no personal data to AI. Your test photos are not analysed by AI.
Self-observation without assessment
Optional self-observation questions show only the answers you selected. There is no diagnosis, risk classification, reassurance or personalised advice. Answers remain only in the open question view and are discarded when it closes; they are not permanently saved or transmitted. You can save your own calendar entries for permanent records. General educational and safety information is independent of your answers.
